Transform A Terracotta Pot Into Any Design With This Trick! (5 Minute Craft!)

I love easy 5 minute crafts. They are the best and transform areas of your home, well, within minutes! This terracotta pot craft is one of my favorites since you can easily add any design to it to make it unique to your home decor or for the season! 

Supplies needed:

Terracotta pot

Napkins! Yes, napkins! 

Decoupage medium. 

Step 1:

Grab yourself a terracotta pot. The one's below don't have a lip, but if you like the one in the above picture go for one with a lip :)

Step 2: 

Paint it whatever color you want to with your the design of your napkins.

Step 3: 

Put 1 layer of the decoupage medium onto the pot with a soft brush.

Step 4:

Find the single top layer of the napkin, and place it around the pot, pushing down to adhere. Fold the extra underneath the pot. If too long, cut to shorten.

Step 5: 

Add a layer or two of the decoupage medium on top of the napkin and smooth out.

Step 6:

If needed, when dried, sand the bottom for smoother finish so it sits level. 

Done!

I just love how versatile this project is. I have found soooo many cute napkins in the aisles at Home Goods. They come in all sorts of styles, and different ones for the seasons. Napkins are easier to work with in this project since they are so thin and can easily go around the pot. Trying to do this with paper would take some serious work and wouldn't get the "aged" type effect. 

I found some cute plaid napkins that will be perfect for my fall decor! The ones I used here are of course great for spring and summer. :)
