Welcome to my living room fall tour! It's the first day of fall today! It's so hard for me to kiss summer goodbye. Summer is my season. Fall isn't bad....but it just leads into winter. Bringing out the pumpkins is always hard on me because I know when those get taken down, Christmas is next. And then... winter. Cold. Snowy. Dark. Winter. How was that for setting the mood? ha! I need to focus more on enjoying the current day and not the inevitable, right? Right :) 

When decorating this room for fall this year, I went away with my all white and used deep rich oranges and fall-esque greens. Sometimes it's fun to play around with new things .. sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't! But, you won't ever know until you try.

I try to add small touches of the season on most surfaces, even if it's just a little pumpkin here or there. This chair has seen better days! But it's the chair my kids flock to when their favorite movie is on. Ninety-five percent of the day that pillow and blanket is on the floor. Drives me mad, but that's living. 

I peppered my living room with accents of those deep oranges and browns. This view shows my two story great room which I have a love hate relationship with it. I love how it opens everything up. I hate that the ceilings and the 20 foot walls aren't painted the color of my choice. One of these days I'll figure out how to fix that...one of these days :) It'll either take lots of labor, or money! 

This mirror was a new find that I wasn't looking for. I came across it at a local store and couldn't leave without it. With a price tag of $150, how couldn't I? I've seen a similar mirror go for $500! This is a super new look here. The other mirrors that shared this corner have been there for about 10 years now. It got some getting used to, but I love it so much. Only problem? Total shows all the stuff under my couch! Gotta learn to keep that clean from toys now :)

I'm pretty sure it was this mirror that helped guide me to the colors I chose in here for fall. There's just something about those wood-type tones and white! 

Because of the new mirror, I decided to keep my mantel simple and neutral since they kind of compete for the focal point now. I layered lots of pumpkins on here with some greenery that looks like it's just about to turn yellow that I found from Hobby Lobby.

When I decorate for fall, I make sure to add all the textures and lots of pillows and blankets. ... Not that I don't do that anyway, now I can just finally get away with it :)

This corner that you don't see behind the couch is actually a play area that houses mounds of toys. I think about switching this couch out all the time, but I really love how it hides it all! I made sure to include some faux leather pillows on the couch to help tie everything together.

This is the cabinet that hides my toy secrets :) It does give me something fun to decorate on top of though! I usually have a clock here, but imagined something else for fall. I made this sign for under $10 a few weeks ago. You can see the tutorial here. And see that candlestick that's melted all over? That's what happens when you leave the room for a minute and forget your candles are still going. Oops! Lesson learned. 

This view shows one of my new favorite pillow covers. It's from Hobby Lobby and is usually sold out. It's big and soft and just amazing! Plus, that throw on the side is the most amazing blanket. I got it last year just before Christmas. My husband laughed at me for the color, but I was just drawn to it. I knew how perfect it would be for fall. Plus, it's seriously the best blanket to snuggle up in. I found some similar again this year at Home Goods.

Full room views are always my fave. It gives the sense of space. Now I just gotta figure where to put that beautiful mirror come Christmas time so I can put my tree there.

I still can't believe fall is official here! Like it's finally okay to show off my decor for the season without feeling guilty :) What's your favorite season? I feel like fall is most peoples! As I said, summer is mine for sure!
