4) National Directives for COVID-19 Management (Annexure I) communicated under MHA order No. 40-3/2020-DM-I(A) dated 29.06.2020. 

A kind reference is invited to CO letters under reference on the above subject. The competent authority has directed to ensure the following actions.
 
1. Face Shield All delivery staffs, counter staff including GDS
All Deivery Staff, counter staff (Including GDS) are to be supplied face shield. In this connection, CO Letter No.2 under reference may be ferrred to additional allotment of funds for the supply of face shield to counter staff for the supply of face mask shield to counter staff including GDS will be provided from the BD branch of CO as per demand

2. Thermal Scanners to major Offices
Procurement and supply of Thermal Scanners to all major offices Viz HPOs, administrative offices. MDGs, RMS units, PSD, etc., be given priority and action completed within shortest time. In this connection CO letter no.3 under reference may be referred to 

3. Oximeter to major Offices
Procurement and supply may be made to all Major Offices Viz HPOs, administrative offices. MDGs, RMS units, PSD, etc.,  shall be examined and action for supply made immediately.

4. Cotton Roll for biometric devices / Postman Mobiles
To facilitate AePS / IPPB Transactions, Aadhaar Enrollment Etc. where biometric devices are used, cleaning of the device by using sanitizer and cotton wool is to be ensured. Adequate supply of cotton wool is to be made invariably.
 
In critical containment zones, where ever post offices are functions with reduced staff or closed delivery of medicines. Medical equipment, delivery of Speed Post articles and payment of money order are to be fiver priority by making suitable alternate arrangements. This is applicable for all offices which remain closed for any other reasons. All safety protocols issued form time to time are to be followed while doing these transactions.

Soap and running water: Availability of soap and running water shall be ensured by all head of offices and employees may be encouraged to use them intermittently.

Disinfection of office: frequent disinfection of the office using 1% sodium hypochlorite solution or bleaching solution as the case may be is to be ensured by the head of the office of all PO/RMS/Administrative Units.

Frequent Sanitization of entire workplace, common facilities and all points which come into human contact e.g door handles etc, will be ensured, including between shifts

Social distancing : all person in charge of work place will ensure adequate distance between workers, adequate gaps between shifts, staffering the lunch breaks of staff etc
